CASTING NEWS, FEBRUARY 2006

Thursday, Feb 23 - A non-union film titled Woody Allen, the Apocalypse and Three Other Ways to Get a Woman in Bed, is looking to cast several non-paying roles.  The film, which will be shooting in New York and the Manchester area, will be taking place the for one full month starting June 6, 2006.  The piece - as the title gives away - is about a young man who will do anything to lose his virginity - even if it means the end of the World.  Think teen comedy, but a little more weird.  Roles include a Fairy Godmother Dominatrix (about 30 yrs old), Edna (a 50+ Jewish Godmother), Good Doctor (30 to 60 years old, calm, leader of an alien race), Jesus Christ, Billy the Stoner (18 to 25 yrs old) and Marissa (sweet girl, 18 to 25).  To schedule an audition, which are by appointment only, send headshots and resume to: Charlie Sohne/OCMR 2362, Oberlin College, OH 44074 or email packets to flyingcentipedecasting@gmail.com. Monday, Feb 27 - In the world of commercials, there is a great History Channel Spot for Hispanic actors.  It seems like if you got the "look", then you are halfway in.  The commercial will be animated using still photos of the actors.  The shooting will take place in SoHo and Chinatown, during the first week of March.  Hurry up for this one.  Roles may be cast already.  Loyalkaspar is casting, and is looking for two Hispanic females (one in her twenties, the other in mid 30's to early 40's) and two Hispanic males (same ages as females)  Characters will include hipsters and smooth looking professionals.  There is pay.  Email packets are being received and can be sent to mark@loyalkaspar.com
