FILM PRODUCTION NEWS APRIL, 2006

Saturday, April 29 - Two senior actors, an actress to play the part of a 30-50 year old, strict, compassionate boss, as well as several office workers of mixed age and race are being sought for the short film Elmer and Iris.  Produced by Reluctant Pictures, the short is about an elderly woman trying to cope with the loss of her husband.  She is emotional, co-dependent, and so opts to live with here husbands corpse as she try's to move on.  Iris is the aforementioned lead, and Elmer is her dead husband, which is being cast as well.  This part will obviously require extensive makeup, and so the actor playing this part should be prepared for longer prep times.  Casting will take place in New York and Philadelphia, and is being done through appointment only.  All those interested should send headshots/resumes/reels with desired role on envelope to Wayne Gurman at 2858 Lasalle Ave., Bronx, NY 10461.  The film is seeking a SAG Short Film Agreement, and lead actors will be paid - meals and transportation provided.  All other actors will be on a deferred payment option, but will still be given transportation and free meals.
