Friday, Feb 24 - Currently filming in New York is August Rush which stars Robin Williams, Keri Russell, Freddie Highmore, and Jonathan Rhys-Meyers.  The film is being directed by Kirsten Sheridan - the twenty-nine year old Irish film maker who is the daughter of renowned director, Peter Sheridan (My Left Foot and In America)  A drama based on the life of an orphaned music prodigy, August Rush has the potential of being a beautiful film.  Filming is scheduled to last until April 25.  All principal actors are cast, however, background roles are available.  Inquire about pay.  All headshots and resume's should be mailed to Sylvia Fay/Lee Genick & Associates Casting, 71 Park Ave., NYC 10016

Sunday, Feb 26 - The new drama Conviction which is scheduled to air on NBC for the first time very soon is accepting submissions for principal roles and background artists.  The hour long drama is about late twenty-somethings who are working in the New York District Attorney's Office.  It will relate their lives in and outside of the courtroom.  Shooting began in late November, 2005, and will carry on until May 5 for the first season.  Submissions for principal role consideration can be sent to: Lynn Kressel Casting, Pier 62, Room 304, West 23rd St. and Hudson River, NYC 10011.  Submissions for background can be sent to: Amerifilm Casting, 195 Chrystie St., 502G, NYC 10002
