Wednesday,
April 12 - The Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival is currently looking
for two actors to fill roles in their upcoming production of As You
Like It, which is scheduled to run from June 23 to July 9, 2006, with
rehearsals starting on May 30. The roles needing to be cast are
Orlando, who should be played by a twenty-something (early thirties),
young, romantic hero type, as well as the good servant Adam, who should be
no taller than 5'9", and be of a slight build. Auditions are taking
place at Ripley-Grier Studios, which is located at 520 Eighth Avenue -
between 36th and 37th St. Being held on April 24th, between 10 a.m
and 4:30 p.m, the auditions do not require appointments ahead of time.
Since the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival participates in the Equity EMC
program, both Equity and non-Equity actors may audition for the role of
Orlando, while only non-Equity actors are being considered for Adam.
Pay will be in weekly amounts of $560 per week for Equity actors, and $285
per week for non-Equity. Actors should bear in mind that
Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival is a ninety minute drive from NYC, and
that housing will be provided. Please bring headshots and resumes to
audition.
