THEATRE NEWS FEBRUARY, 2006

Wednesday, Feb 22 - Another upcoming musical revival will be hitting Broadway soon, as previews begin in mid September of this year.  Principal auditions for Equity actors are as late as June 21, while the last Equity Chorus Call follows short behind on June 23.  Besides New York, casting will also be done out of San Francisco, where auditions are scheduled between July 17 and September 2, 2006.  Casting is being done by: Jay Binder Casting, 321 West 44th Street, Suite 606, NYC 10036.

Friday, Feb 24 - Although it may be too late to get something out of this one, it may still be worth a try.  The revival of Herman Wouk's The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial, which features an all-male cast, is being revived on Broadway and is scheduled to open May 7, 2006.  Equity Principal Auditions have already taken place.  However, rehearsals do not begin until March 20, 2006.  Casting is through: Stuart Howard Associates, 207 West 25th Street, 6th floor, NYC 10001.

Monday, Feb 27 - On Off-Broadway, there is no longer running play than Perfect Crime, which has been a hit with audiences since it first opened on April 18, 1987.  The show is expected to keep going, and as always, will need replacement actors.  Headshot and resume submissions can be sent to: Catherine Russell, 1627 Broadway, NYC 10019.
