THEATRE NEWS MARCH, 2006
Tuesday,
March 14 - The Babel Theatre Project, which presents new and cutting
edge plays at the Medicine Show Theatre, is accepting submissions for what
appears to be a small cast with gems for roles. The play is called
Fear of Falling by Jessica Brickman. They are currently
seeking a twenty-something female to play the role of Georgiana. The
look they are going for is innocent and classically beautiful...simple and
intelligent. The role of George is to be played by a
twenty-something male with a direct, patient and loving attitude.
The character of Sandman is also being best. This actor should be in
their twenties, although he will be played with an indeterminable age.
He should be sexy, yet have a somewhat harmless aura. However,
underneath he is a seducer and dangerous. Last but not least is Vana
- mid forties - who should be sexy in a Playboy sort of way. She
loves attention - and gets it wherever she goes. Headshots and
resumes should be mailed to Babel Theatre Project, c/o Medicine Show
Theatre, 549 W. 52nd St., NYC 10019. Auditions will take place on
April 10 & 11 from 6 pm to 12 am. Rehearsals being the first week of
June, with a show run from July 5-29.
